Day 2, 3, & 4 of Insanity

Day 2 & 3 were ridiculous. I was sweating up a storm and barely made it through the workouts. Lots of squats, jumping, more squats, more jumping, pushups, and running. I could’ve handled the running if my my calves, hamstrings, and quads weren’t already crazy sore from Day 1. Yes I know  I’m pathetic. Just when I thought I couldn’t take anymore Day 4 came around.

Thank you Day 4!This was a cardio recovery day was so needed and very beneficial. It was mostly deep slow stretching with some squats thrown in there. Day 4 incorporated some Yoga and some balance moves. I really liked it!

So far I’m really enjoying this program. I’ll probably eat what I’m about to say but so far I don’t feel like I’ve been working my abdominals. :( That is one area that I want to work, work, work. There are future days where the dvds include abs in the title so I’m sure I’ll be working them but so far the first 4 days have no ab targeted exercises, that I’ve noticed. And I am engaging those muscles by keeping my core tight! ;)

Lastly I’ve bumped up the amount of calories I’m supposed to eat and the frequency of eating, about every 2 hours,  has really picked up. This is all new to me so the first few days I felt stuffed. I think all the food has kept me at a steady weight which is great because now when I lose weight  I’ll know it’s fat and not water.

Must keep Digging Deeper!

  1. I have tried the eating every few hours and I get so sick of eating and food. I think I lose weight solely because I don’t want to eat much :) I guess that works then :)

  2. i really want to try insanity but i dont think i have the motivation. but good for you for keeping it up!

  3. Good for you. I tried insanity…who am I kidding I watched my husband do insanity. It is definitely a tough workout. Keep up the good work. I’m more into yoga and pilates so I can appreciate the “yoga” part of Insanity workout.

    Good luck

  4. Keep up the good work, its a hard program so be proud of yourself for doing it :)

  5. I totally admire everyone who does this. someday. I just can’t even fathom trying this right now.
